Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 22, 2026

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them, plus similar technologies like local storage, to keep the site working and to understand how it is used. Because we operate under US state privacy laws rather than the EU model, cookies are enabled by default and you may opt out at any time.

Categories we use

  • Essential — page routing, security, rate-limiting, and remembering your privacy choices. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics — aggregate traffic measurement (for example Google Analytics) showing which pages farmers and buyers visit.
  • Functional — optional conveniences such as the Field Guide chat assistant, remembered form details, and embedded media.
  • Marketing — outreach measurement and audience matching. Disabling this also stops sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Managing your preferences

Open to switch any non-essential category on or off, or to use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" toggle. Your choice is stored in your browser with a version and timestamp, and applies until you change it or clear your browser data.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we automatically treat it as an opt-out of analytics and of the sale/sharing of personal information — no further action needed from you.

Browser controls

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
